More than a year into our effort to confine the U.S. government to the law embodied in the constitution, patriotic Americans came out again for a Thursday afternoon Tax Day Tea Party protest in the Capital and in cities and towns all across the nation.
I was privileged to take part in Tea Party events in Concord, N.H., Boston, Mass., and Washington, D.C., on April 13, April 14 and April 15 respectfully, where I met many great people and talked with them about how we must move forward as a nation. You will see video from Washington, D.C., and Concord, N.H., below. My Boston video will be put to another use.
I hope that by watching these videos, you will get a look at what Tea Party protests are truly all about. There may be organizers of protest events who the talking heads warn are "trying to take over" the movement, and maybe there are a few idiots holding up offensive signs, but don't let such nonsense deter you. That's not what Tea Party rallies are about. These videos represent the real American people who I have seen showing up at Tea Party protests with real thoughts and concerns, and much of what they express may also be going through your mind. In short, they want a federal government strictly limited to the constitution, and a nation that values free markets and free people.
If you're at all concerned about the direction of the country, please consider watching my footage of folks in Washington or Concord, and if you haven't already, next time consider joining us as we stand in "solidarity" for the principles of liberty that have made the United States the best and most prosperous nation on Earth. At the very least, please get informed if you plan to vote, and don't just go for the guy that the media says has the best chance to win. The media is not on our side. Please vote for the person who best represents the values embodied in our constitution and in your heart. Folks, if we continue to recruit Americans to this cause, we will take our country back.
The gathering force of liberty, inherent in the People, will be heard one way or another, and We the People will keep America free. After all, it is our solemn duty.
